Tandy Turk is a transdisciplinary artist, writer, director, and creative producer working across film and multimedia storytelling.
Tandy graduated from SCAD with a BFA in Film and Television and with minors in creative writing and fashion design. Tandy first attended SCAD in 2013 and studied creative writing and fashion design before running away with a circus as an acrobat, trapeze artist, clown, and a one-woman-band. After establishing Tandy Land Productions and producing their first fashion runway musical theatre show in 2017, they returned to SCAD to learn the logistics and develop the skill of synthesizing various mediums of storytelling into cohesive and multidimensional productions at a larger scale.
With the visions and ambitions of being a creative director, Tandy worked in various departments at SCAD so they could understand the inner workings of each department and the process of each phase of production within film. At SCAD, they further developed and expanded their storytelling skillset to screenwriting for film and television, writing documentary treatments, production design, art direction, sound design, editing, directing, and producing narrative and documentary films.
Tandy is enthralled with the power of storytelling, the magic of manifesting dreams into reality, and lives for every part of the creative process from conception to completion. They have worked on various creative aspects of entertainment and production both in theatre and in film.
This website serves as a living and breathing portfolio of Tandy's breadth of work.
